Q1: Can you pitch your latest publication in 25 words or less?
A1: In "Cliff Walk," Liam Mulligan, reporter for a dying Providence newspaper, exposes connections between politicians and the city's thriving, sometimes murderous, sex trade.
Q2: Which books, films, or television shows have floated your boat recently?
A2: I'm a big fan of "Justified," the hardboiled FX television series based on a character developed by the great Elmore Leonard. I also like HBO's "The Newsroom," a new series about a TV network that decides to abandon the fluff and punditry to cover important news with integrity. It's a fantasy, of course, because it's never going to happen. And "Ted," the movie in whichSeth McFarlane of "Family Guy" fame is the voice of a brawling, pot-smoking, foul-mouthed Teddy bear, is the funniest thing I've seen in years.
